Huskies visit Edmonton this weekend following win in Regina

Nov 8, 2022 | 3:37 PM

After playing one game and having one game cancelled last weekend, the Huskie men’s hockey team makes its way to Edmonton this weekend to face the MacEwan Griffins. Games can be heard on HuskieFAN at 8pm on Friday November 11th, and 4pm on Friday November 12th.

The Huskies are coming off of a 5-1 road win over the Regina Cougars on Friday, before Saturday’s game was cancelled due to a water main break at Merlis Belsher Place. (That game has been rescheduled to Tuesday, November 29th at 7pm in Saskatoon.)

The Huskies have won eight of nine games to start the 2022-23 Canada West hockey season and are in second place, six points back of the front running Alberta Golden Bears in the standings. Saskatchewan has nine games remaining before the Christmas break.

Head coach Brandin Cote chatted with HuskieFAN’s Wray Morrison about the victory over Regina, the upcoming series with the MacEwan Griffins and longer term goals for the team as it approaches the break in the schedule.
