Huskies women’s hockey get redemption in rematch out west
A rainy Saturday afternoon on the west coast served as the backdrop for a redemption rematch in Langley, B.C.
The University of Saskatchewan Huskies women’s hockey team came out energized after being shutout Friday night, returning the favour with a 2-0 win over the Trinity Western University Spartans.
Kelsey Hall scored 5:48 into the opening frame, with an assist from Larissa Bohlken, nabbing her first U Sports career goal after registering a bodychecking penalty.
“I came out of the (penalty) box and figured I need to get the team going after they just killed for a penalty I took and sure enough, just happy it went in,” Hall said.
