Meet the HuskieFAN Team

Wray Morrison

Wray will provide play-by-play for football and men’s hockey on HuskieFAN. As Senior Producer Host & Partnership Coordinator Wray will also be a major contributor to content. Wray has had a long association with the University of Saskatchewan Huskies dating back to the early 1980’s when he was a hockey analyst for the broadcasts on the campus radio station. Much of his 38 years in sports broadcasting in Saskatoon was spent covering key events for Huskies athletics, including the football team’s first ever Vanier Cup championship in 1990.

Ryan Flaherty

A graduate of the Radio & Television program at NAIT in Edmonton, Ryan Flaherty spent a decade in the TV news business, first as a news reporter then as the sports anchor at CHAT TV in Medicine Hat, Alberta. He subsequently returned to his hometown of Saskatoon where he worked as a sports anchor/reporter for Global Saskatoon starting in 2015.

Ryan spent six years at Global and took on a new challenge as a freelance sports broadcaster, turning his former “side hustle” into a full-time pursuit.

Ryan was the play-by-play voice of the Saskatchewan Rush during the 2019 and 2020 National Lacrosse League seasons and has called numerous games for the Saskatchewan Huskies hockey, soccer and basketball teams as well as the Saskatchewan SWAT minor lacrosse program.

Richard Gabruch

Rich Gabruch is a lawyer turned part-time football analyst.

He played Huskies football as a punter and quarterback, earning a spot in the Top 100 Moments of the First Century of Huskies Athletics for his quarterbacking success in the 1994 run to the Vanier Cup showdown against Western.

Rich runs Gabruch Legal Group in Saskatoon and spends whatever free time he has with his wife and two kids, dabbled in federal politics, and has been on various charitable and volunteer boards and foundations.
