Huskies snap skid
It’s good to be home.
The University of Saskatchewan Huskies men’s team snapped a three-game losing streak with a 7-2 victory over the Mount Royal University Cougars on Friday night at Merlis Belsher Place in Saskatoon.
“It’s awesome to be back on home ice. The last couple of games didn’t go quite the way we wanted them to,” said Jared Dmytriw, Huskies forward. “It was a good week of practice for us and it’s good to get back on home ice and get the result we did tonight. I’m really proud of our group.”
The Huskies got on the board just a 1:06 into the game when Dmytriw scored off a rebound and beat Cougars’ goaltender Riley Morris.
