The University of Saskatchewan Huskies men’s hockey team rebounded with a big 5-0 victory on Friday night against the Grant MacEwan University Griffins in Edmonton, Alta.

The Huskies exploded for five goals in the second period and Roddy Ross picked up a 19-save shutout.

Newly recruited forward Aiden Bulych opened the scoring for the Huskies at the 5:52 mark of the second period on the power play.

Fourth year forward Carter Folk picked up his fourth goal of the season at the 8:06 mark of the middle frame.

Justin Ball continued his hot streak in the second half of the season, notching his 10th goal less than two minutes later.

Bulych would add his second of the game, another power play marker at the midway mark.

Connor Hobbs would close out the scoring for the Huskies with just 20 seconds remaining in the period.

Neither team scored in the opening frame or the final frame.

Saskatchewan with 2-for-5 on the power play and killed off five penalties in the game.
