Football fans across the country were surprised when U of S Huskie running back, Adam Machart, announced his retirement from football on April 28th, just days ahead of the May 3rd CFL draft.

Machart, who was a 2019 Hec Crighton nominee, and one of the stars of the Huskies’ 2021 Uteck Bowl win over Montreal, has decided to go in to business with his father and his brother in Kelowna.

The 24 year old, who attended Centennial high school in Saskatoon, says it’s fun to think about “what if”, but is totally at peace with his decision to leave the game when he did.

Machart chatted with HuskieFAN’s Wray Morrison about the decision to retire, the timing of his announcement, and starting his life in business.
