Huskies look to carry scoring momentum into clash with Calgary
The University of Saskatchewan Huskies women’s hockey team plans to close 2022 with a pair of road wins out west.
Just like last season, the Huskies will wrap for the holiday break in Calgary – albeit facing the University of Calgary, not Mount Royal, at Father David Bauer Arena. Puck drops 8 p.m. CST Friday and 7 p.m. CST Saturday.
These two teams split their first series this season in Saskatoon, where the Huskies defeated the Dinos 2-1 in overtime for their home opener on Oct. 7 – only to be shutout in a double overtime 1-0 loss the following day.
“Don’t we always have close matches in Canada West hockey?” Huskies head coach Steve Kook said, jokingly, when asked whether he anticipates another tight game.
