Looking for a win in the west
The Huskie women’s hockey team heads west in search of its first regular season win this weekend as they visit the Trinity Western Spartans in Langley. The U of S has 4 points in the Canada West’s east division standings after a pair of losses to the Manitoba Bisons. Trinity Western has 3 wins in 8 games and are coming off of a pair of victories over the Regina Cougars from the November 1st-2nd weekend.
Saskatchewan has been led by Kendra Zuchotzki, who has five points in 10 games, while Bronwyn Boucher and Sara Kendall have three goals each. Goaltender Colby Wilson has played the bulk of the games and has a 2.43 goals against average in six contests. The Spartans have a number of Saskatchewan born players on the roster including Ashley Breitkreuz, Kailey Ledoux and Olivia Leier.
