It’s a men’s volleyball, women’s hockey kind of weekend on campus

The Huskie men’s volleyball team looks to climb above the .500 mark when they host the Manitoba Bisons at the PAC on November 22nd and 23rd. Saskatchewan sits at 3 and 3 after back-to-back losses to Alberta on the November 15th-16th weekend.

Saskatchewan has been led by fourth-year setter, Emmett Graham, who is fourth in the Canada West conference in kills per set and fifth in digs. Third-year Huskie, Noah Opseth, from Birch Hills, Saskatchewan, is second in assists.

The Bisons enter the weekend with a 3 and 5 record, tied for seventh place in the conference with the Brandon Bobcats.

Friday’s matches start at 6:00 PM at the PAC, action on Saturday starts at 3:00 PM

The U of S women’s hockey team returns to home ice to face the Alberta Pandas. Saskatchewan sits in fourth place in the Canada West standings with 4 points, 12 games into the season. Fourth year forward, Bronwyn Boucher, and fourth-year defender, Kendra Zuchotzki, lead the Huskies in scoring with five points each. The 9 and 3 Pandas top the Canada West east division standings.

The November 22nd game at Merlis Belsher Place starts at 7:00 PM, while puck drop for the November 23rd contest is at 5:00 PM.
