Volleyball and men’s hockey take centre stage on campus

Fans will flock to the PAC and Merlis Belsher Place for volleyball and men’s hockey action on the January 17^th-18^th weekend.

The U of S volleyball teams host the MacEwan Griffins on Friday and Saturday. The 5-7 Huskie women’s team looks to improve to .500 following a pair of victories over the Calgary Dinos last weekend. The Griffins are 0-10.

Saskatchewan’s men’s team is 8 and 4 after a sweep in Calgary on the January 10^th-11^th weekend. MacEwan (0-12), like the Griffins women’s team, is also looking for its first wins of the season.

The men’s matches start at 6:00 PM on Friday and 3:00 on Saturday at the PAC. The women’s matches follow at 7:30 PM (Friday) and 4:30 PM. (Saturday)

The U of S men’s hockey team continues a five-game home stand with Friday and Saturday games against the Manitoba Bisons. With two games in hand on front-running Alberta in the east division, the 14-4 Huskies look to gain ground or even keep pace with a sweep over the 4-12 Bisons.

The January 17^th game starts at 7:00 PM at Merlis Belsher Place. Puck drop for the January 18^th game is at 5:00 PM.
