Oct 29, 2025 | 4:25 PM

Ranked third in the nation, the 5 and 1 Huskie men’s hockey team looks to build in a four-game win streak on the October 31st-November 1st weekend with a two-game series against the Manitoba Bisons.

Newcomer Conner Roulette has 11 points in six games while veteran Chantz Petruic has scored eight times already this season. 5th-year goaltender Jordan Kooy and 1st-year U Sask keeper Bryan Thomson have been able to suit up for three games each and both have been impressive. Kooy has a 2.31 goals against average while Thomson is at 2.33.

Manitoba is an improved team from last season, jumping out to a 3-2 and 1 start. The Bisons won just eight of 28 games last season. The U of M took three of a possible four points from last season’s conference finalists, the MRU Cougars, last weekend. Second-year forward Skyler Bruce has seven points in six games for the Bisons, while keeper Braden Holt has started in all six games.

Huskie coach Brandin Cote chatted with HuskieFAN about last weekend’s convincing 8-1 and 5-1 wins over Regina and about this weekend’s home games against the Bisons.
