A chat with Scott Flory ahead of the 2025 Mitchell Bowl
With a trip to the Vanier Cup on the line, the USask Huskies have made their final preparations for Saturday’s Mitchell Bowl against the OUA champion, Queen’s Golden Gaels.
Second-year quarterback and first-year starter, Jake Farrell, is a perfect 5 and 0 since taking over the Huskie offensive on October 4th. Defensively, Saskatchewan had the most sacks and were tied for first with the most interceptions in the Canada West conference, while allowing the fewest points.
Queen’s finished the OUA season with a 5 and 3 record, then gained momentum throughout the conference playoffs. The Gaels beat 4 and 4 McMaster 46-10 in the Ontario quarterfinals, defeated 5 and 3 Windsor 36-25 in the semi-finals, then pulled out a 30-27 victory over the undefeated Laurier Golden Hawks in the Yates Cup, thanks in part to four interceptions and one fumble recovery.
USask head coach Scott Flory chatted with HuskieFAN about Saturday’s Mitchell Bowl which is starts at 2:15 PM at Griffiths Stadium.
