The 12th annual Off The Leash Luncheon was held at Saskatoon’s Prairieland Park on Thursday.

This is the annual scholarship fundraiser for the U of S Huskies’ men’s hockey team.

Dave Adolph was recognized for his work with the program, by receiving the annual ARC award, given out each year to a builder of the program.

Adolph, who coached the Huskies for a quarter of a century, led the team to 488 conference wins, seven Canada West titles, and 16 University Cup appearances.

This year’s guest speaker at the Off The Leash Luncheon was Edmonton Oilers General Manager Ken Holland. Holland worked with current Huskies men’s hockey coach, Mike Babcock, for 10 seasons in Detroit.

Holland caught up with HuskieFAN’s Wray Morrison to talk about the Oilers’ success to date, and about university hockey in Canada.
