Huskies women’s hockey season resumes with rivalry series against Regina
The final stretch of the 2021-22 regular season kicks off at home with a rivalry weekend for University of Saskatchewan Huskies women’s hockey.
“We have to attack the second half and try to move up in position as much as we can. We would like to be able to host a playoff game,” said Huskies head coach Steve Kook.
Only eight games remain for the fifth-ranked Huskies in the regular season. First and second ranked teams in Canada West each get a bye into a semifinal played at home. Third and fourth ranked teams host a quarter-final.
The road up the rankings starts with the Huskies hosting the University of Regina Cougars for a home-and-home series at Merlis Belsher Place Friday at 7 p.m.
