Schedule: Friday, Feb. 18 vs. Winnipeg Wesmen 6:00 p.m. at the PAC.

Saturday, Feb. 19 vs. Winnipeg Wesmen 5:00 p.m. at the PAC.

MBB: The Huskies Men’s Basketball team also has a pair of games this weekend at the PAC and like the women’s team, it will be their final games of the regular season.

The U of S enters the weekend on a two-game winning streak, only losing once in their last nine, as they spot a record of 10-4, good for fifth in Canada West.

That lone loss came against this weekend’s opponent, the 7-7 Winnipeg Wesmen, back on Jan. 29. With a weekend sweep of Winnipeg, the Huskies would tie themselves with their provincial rival Regina Cougars, both for top spot in the east division and fourth in the Canada West standings, with a tiebreaker needing to later decide the playoff seeding.

And also like the Women, Saturday night’s contest will serve as fifth-year night, as the team honours Emmanuel Akintunde, as well as Addison Dewar, a graduating member of the 2022-21 roster.

Addison’s brother, Alexander Dewar will be a player to watch this weekend, as the Saskatoon product has absolutely lit up the Wesmen this season, averaging 28.5 points per game.

Schedule: Friday, Feb. 18 vs. Winnipeg Wesmen 8:00 p.m. at the PAC.

Saturday, Feb. 19 vs. Winnipeg Wesmen 7:00 p.m. at the PAC.

MVB: The Huskies Men’s Volleyball team has four games remaining in their regular-season schedule, with two of those happening this weekend in Winnipeg against the University of Manitoba Bisons.

U of S, with a record of 7-7, has their sights set on finishing first in the east division, which would earn them host of the first round of the playoffs for Pool C.

The Huskies trail the 8-6 Winnipeg Wesmen by one game, while the Bison’s trail by two, with a record of 6-8. Saskatchewan has split their four meetings against Manitoba this year, going 2-2 thus far.

Sask’s Levi Olson and Dylan Mortenson will be players to watch this weekend, as they both rank inside the top-five in the conference in the statistical category, with 30 and 29 service aces to their names, respectively. Those numbers put Olson in fifth and Mortenson tied for sixth in the Huskies’ single-season record books.
