Huskies to finish regular season at home against Wesmen
The Huskies men’s basketball team will finish up their regular season this weekend, as they host the visiting Winnipeg Wesmen for a pair of games at the PAC. The U of S has won eight of their last nine games, good for a 10-4 record.
Their last loss came to these same Wesmen, something they hope doesn’t happen again this weekend. Head Coach Barry Rawlyk told HuskieFAN the way to avoid that is by staying true to themselves.
“We just have to concentrate on playing our game,” he said. “Last time we played them, they really mucked up the game and bogged us down. It’s really difficult to win a game when you’re playing it their way. If we stick to our game plan I think we’ll be okay.”
For the Huskies, a big part of succeeding this weekend comes down to the fact of maintaining the momentum they have from their hot stretch. That will be easier said than done, however, as the Huskies haven’t played a game in two weeks.
