Former T-Bird is ready to face his former team

U of S running back Ted Kubongo is preparing to face his former team in Friday night’s Huskie home opener as the UBC T-Birds land at Griffiths Stadium for a 7:00 kick off.

Kubongo, who was with UBC for the 2018 and 2019 seasons, transferred to the University of Saskatchewan for his third year of eligibility.

Kubongo, who is a sociology major, had 4 carries for 30 yards and a touchdown in Saskatchewan’s 44-5 win over Calgary in week one, along with 5 catches for 55 yards.

Because of a leg injury to starting running back Josh Ewanchyna, Kubongo may see even more action against the Thunderbirds on Friday.

Ted talked with HuskieFan’s Wray Morrison about the move to Saskatchewan, and what he expects from UBC in home opener.
