The provincial basketball rivalry continues

Huskie basketball and hockey happen at the University of Saskatchewan campus on the February 7th-8th weekend.

The basketball teams wrap up a home-and-home series with the Regina Cougars on Saturday night at the PAC.

Saskatchewan’s women’s team sits with a 14-2 record, while Regina enters the weekend at 12-4.

The U of S men’s team looks to continue momentum after back-to-back wins over the MacEwan Griffins on the January 31-February 1st weekend. The 3-13 Huskies have won three of the last four games while the Cougars are 6-10

The women’s game starts at 5:00 PM at the PAC on Saturday, while tip-off for the men’s game is at 7:00 PM.

The 5-13-4-2 Huskie women’s hockey team hosts UBC on Friday and Saturday at Merlis Belsher Place. Saturday night in senior night. Forwards Taylor Wilkinson, Brooklyn Stevely and defender Brookly Stevely will be recognized as they graduate from the U of S women’s hockey program. Friday night’s game starts at 7:00 PM, Saturday afternoon’s game starts at 5:00 PM.
