The Huskie football team is a win away from its third Vanier Cup appearance in five years. USask will host the Queens’ Golden Gaels in the Mitchell Bowl on Saturday afternoon. Saskatchewan finished the regular season with a 7 and 1 record and defeated UBC and Regina in the Canada West playoffs to advance. The 5 and 3 Golden Gaels posted wins over McMaster and Windsor before downing top ranked Laurier in the OUA playoffs.
Saturday’s Mitchell Bowl starts at 2:15 at Griffiths Stadium.

The Huskie volleyball teams host Winnipeg on Friday and Saturday evening. The USask men’s team puts a 5 and 3 record on the line going into weekend matches with the Wesmen. Saskatchewan’s women’s team is 5 and 3 after sweeping Brandon last weekend. Men’s matches start at 6:00 PM on Friday, November 14th and 3:00 PM on Saturday November 15th at the PAC. The women’s matches follow at 7:30 PM, Friday and 4:30 on Saturday.
