Huskie hockey teams battle provincial rivals

The USask women’s and men’s hockey teams face the Regina Cougars on the December 5-6 weekend as the U-Prairie Challenge continues.
The Huskie women’s team puts its 6-6 and 2 record on the line against the U of R on Friday night at Merlis Belsher Place before a Saturday rematch in Regina. Saskatchewan is 6-6 and 2 on the season, a point up on the Cougars for third spot in the east division. Puck drop is at 7:00 PM on Friday night.

The Huskie men’s team plays the second game of a home and home series against the Cougars on Saturday night at the U of S campus. It’s the last set of weekend games before the Christmas break. USask earned a shootout win last Friday night against the west division leading UBC Thunderbirds, before falling in the second game of the series, 7-4. Saturday night’s game against Regina starts at 7:00 PM.
