HUSKIE TEAMMATE (PAST OR PRESENT) WHO HAS HELPED YOU THE MOST HOW? Cedar Swan, we always find something to laugh about.

WHO IS YOUR FAVOURITE TEAMMATE TO BE AROUND? Charlie or Cedar, because we can talk about anything.

WHO IS THE FUNNIEST TEAMMATE? Evy

WHERE DID YOUR LOVE OF HOCKEY COME FROM? My love for hockey really came from my family. My dad played, and both of my siblings played, so hockey has always been a big part of my life. I’ve been playing for as long as I can remember, and I basically grew up at the rink. It’s always been my favourite place to be and has always felt like a second home to me.

CAREER HIGHLIGHT: Attending Canada Games and Nationals representing Team Manitoba. Scoring my first U sport goal.

FAVOURITE HOCKEY PLAYER? Quinn Hughes, elite skater, so much poise, puck control and game management, hockey IQ, offensive zone movement.

HOBBIES: Going on walks, hiking, golfing, spending time with friends, travelling, listening to music

FAVOURITE SERIES/SHOW? Friends. The best characters. Always gives me a good laugh, can put it on anytime.

FAVOURITE SINGER/GROUP/ARTIST? Noah Kahan or Cody Johnson

FAVOURITE FOOD? Steak

IF YOU COULD HAVE DINNER WITH ANYONE, WHO WOULD IT BE? Ernie Clement, favourite athlete. Seems to have great energy.

WHO HAS HAD THE MOST INFLUENCE IN YOUR LIFE? My parents have had the biggest influence on my life. They’ve always supported me in everything I’ve wanted to do, while also teaching me the importance of hard work and staying grounded. They have made many sacrifices to give me the opportunities I’ve had, especially through hockey and have always been the people I can count on.

WHAT ARE YOUR CAREER GOALS AFTER UNIVERSITY? After University, I’d love the opportunity to continue playing, potentially overseas in Europe. I’d also like to continue my education after my psychology degree and pursue a career in some type of health care or forensics. I want a career where I can work with people, make a difference and enjoy what I do.

WHAT DO YOU LIKE MOST ABOUT BEING A HUSKIE? Getting to do the thing I love most every single day alongside my best friends. Being a Huskie gives you such a close group of people around you, and getting to compete together and represent the university makes it very special.
