The season series is on the line in Edmonton on Saturday, as the Huskies visit the Golden Bears at Foote Field. The teams are in a three-way for top spot in the conference at 4 and 1 along with the UBC Thunderbirds. (The U of S outscored the T-Birds 34-31 on September 29th in Saskatoon.) The Bears beat Saskatchewan 26-22 back on September 15th at Griffiths Stadium.
On this week’s edition of The Coach’s Show, head coach Scott Flory talks about the evolution of first year starting quarterback Anton Amundrud and how the Huskie defense plans to contain Bears running back Matt Peterson. Peterson had 296 all-purpose yards against Saskatchewan in the teams’ previous meeting.
