A four game, five day stretch
The Huskie men’s hockey team feels good about the remainder of the regular season. The Huskies defeated Alberta 4-2 on January 26th and picked up another point in the standings in a 2-1 shoot-out loss to the Bears on the 27th. Saskatchewan (6 GR) sits a point back of Alberta (4 GR) and two points back of third place Mount Royal (4 GR) in the Canada West standings heading into the stretch drive.
The Huskies visit the Cougars, in Calgary, this weekend before playing two make up games on February 5th and 6th against the Trinity Western Spartans in Langley BC. The U of S has won five of the last six games and with games in hand prepare to make a push for third spot and a home playoff date to kick off the 2024 Canada West playoffs.
Huskies head coach Brandin Cote spoke with Wray Morrison ahead of the team’s busy western road swing in which they will play four games in five days.
