Cross Country season begins

The first weekend of fall includes the launch of the USask Cross Country season and men’s soccer.

Out to end a three-game losing skid, the 2-3 Huskie men’s soccer squad has a pair of September 26th and 27th matches at Griffiths Stadium. On Saturday afternoon the Victoria Vikes (3-2-1) visit the USask campus at 2:00 PM. At 2:30 PM on Sunday the Thompson Rivers Wolfpack (4-2) will face the Huskies.  Saskatchewan goalkeeper Jaron Slopinski is two full games away from breaking school records for career games and minutes played.

The 2026 Cross Country season begins with the annual Dakota Classic at The Dakota Dunes. The Huskies will be represented by 12 men and 11 women athletes. Saskatchewan will be one of four schools competing, racing alongside the Manitoba Bisons, Regina Cougars, and Alberta Golden Bears and Pandas.
