Dinos beat Huskies again in 2019 Hardy Cup rematch

The Calgary Dinos got the better of the University of Saskatchewan Huskies 34-20 at McMahon Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

Dinos receiver Jalen Philpot had a career game with 246 yards and two touchdowns, and proved to be quarterback Josiah Joseph’s favourite target. Joseph, the Dinos’ fifth-year pivot had an incredible game, throwing for 451 yards and three touchdowns.

The Dinos had a 14-10 halftime lead and took a 17-12 lead into the fourth quarter. Calgary put the contest out of reach with a 17 point fourth quarter. The Huskies’ defence also had no answer for Javier Williams in the second half, who finished with 88 yards and a touchdown.

Huskies receiver Colton Klassen was impressive for the visitors with 107 yards and both touchdowns. UofS quarterback Mason Nyhus threw for 238 yards. Defensively Riley Pickett had 4 tackles and 1.5 sacks for Saskatchewan.
