Jan 22, 2025 | 3:19 PM

The U of S Huskie women’s hockey team heads out on the road again for the January 24th-25th weekend. Saskatchewan visits the east division leading Alberta Pandas in 8:00 PM and 3:00 PM contests. The U of S is nine points out of a playoff spot with eight games remaining in the regular season.

The Huskies collected three of a possible four points on the January 17th-18th weekend in Manitoba. Saskatchewan blanked the Bisons 2-0 on Friday, then on Saturday, dropped a 3-2 overtime heartbreaker in Winnipeg. Goaltender Colby Wilson was solid on both nights making 35 stops in the shutout, then 50 saves the night after.

The Pandas are an impressive 18-3 and 1 on the season and according to Huskie head coach Steve Kook are solid in all aspects of their game. Saskatchewan is 4-11-4 and 1 with 13 points. Third place Regina is holding down the division’s final playoff spot with 22 points.
