
Huskies take home 2025 Canada West men’s hockey banner with shutout win over Mount Royal
The six-year drought is over. The Huskie men’s hockey team claimed the 2025 Canada West men’s hockey title with a 3-0 shut out win over the Mount Royal Cougars in the third and deciding game of the championship series in front of over 3,000 fans at Merlis Belsher Place.
Huskie goaltender Roddy Ross, who was sensational all series, turned aside 30 Cougar shots for the win. The Meadow Lake product, who had the best goals against average in Canada West hockey this season, also made 38 saves in a series opening, 6-3, victory on Friday.
