How to best take in another Ram-Huskie showdown

Nov 4, 2025 | 6:24 AM

Last year’s Canada West championship football game at Griffiths Stadium between the Regina Rams and the Saskatchewan Huskies was decided by five points. These storied schools meet again in the 88th edition of the Hardy Cup on Saturday at Griffiths Stadium. Several supporters from the provincial capital regularly make the trek to Saskatoon when these teams meet says Mike Jenkins, Associate Athletics Officer, Development & Marketing. “We’re looking forward to hosting our rivals from Regina on what’s shaping up to be a terrific hardy Cup rematch from last Fall.”

Fans, whether they enjoy being outdoors or like watching football in comfort, will have no shortage of options at the USask campus for this 2:00 PM showdown. The popular 100 ticket package for $1,000 is back again this season. This gives large groups and corporations an opportunity to have football followers be together to witness the conference title game. “We’re offering businesses a unique way to buy block tickets to either come as a company, host customers and or donate tickets to groups of their choice”, said Jenkins.

A limited number of tickets will also be available for fans who want to enjoy the VIP experience in the Huskie clubhouse. Food and beverages will be available in the state-of-the-art facility in the north end of Griffiths Stadium for $100. “As the weather is starting to turn a little, we’re wanting to offer fans the opportunity to enjoy a warm place outside of the elements to experience the Hardy Cup”, said Jenkins. “Tickets are limited and will sell out in this area, so we ask fans to get your yours as soon as possible.”

Fans can call Huskie Athletics at (306) 966-1111 for tickets.

The Rams and Huskies met on September 19th at Griffiths Stadium with Saskatchewan pulling out a 22-20 win. The last three matchups between these schools, dating back to last season, have been won by five points or less.

USask dominated UBC, 26-7, in last weekend’s semi-finals to advance while the U of R pulled out a thrilling 32-29 overtime win over the Bisons at Mosaic Stadium.
