“Pinball” comes to Saskatoon for Dog’s Breakfast.

Michael “Pinball Clemons will be the guest speaker at the 24th annual Staybridge Suites, Holiday Inn Express Dog’s Breakfast on Thursday April 30th, ,2026 at Prairieland Park. The annual event has raised funds for the USask Huskie football program for nearly a quarter of a century.

“The dollars raised are 100% used for scholarships”, Huskie head coach Scott Flory said. “We can’t field a good football team without having good football players.” Past speakers at the event have included Ron Lancaster, Ronnie Lott and Sean Payton. Flory says Saskatoon is a special football market. “To put 1,500 people at a breakfast at 6:30 or 7:00 in the morning, you can’t do that anywhere. It’s something special here. It’s just awesome.”

Clemons, who is currently the GM of the Toronto Argos, is a member of the Canadian Football Hall of Fame and one of the most recognizable figures in the CFL. Clemons, who was born in Dunedin, Florida, was a running back and returner in the Canadian Football League from 1989 to 2000, before becoming head coach of the Argos. He led Toronto to the 2004 Grey Cup championship.

The breakfast marks the official start of the 2026 U SPORTS football season for the Huskies as spring camp starts on the evening of April 30th. Flory led his team to the 2025 Hardy Cup championship, a 22-11 win over the Queen’s Golden Gaels in the Mitchell Bowl. and a Vanier Cup appearance against the Montreal Carabins.
