2026 Huskie Football Schedule
As Canada West football teams jockey for positions in the standings in the last half of the 2026 season, the Huskies will enjoy home field advantage for a good portion of the stretch drive. Earlier this week the Canada West schedule was released and USask will play three of its first four on the road, before finishing the season three of the final four games at Griffiths Stadium.
Following an August 27th home, non-conference game against Alberta at 7:00 PM the defending Hardy Cup champion Huskies will begin the regular season in Winnipeg against the Bisons on Saturday, September 5th at 2:00 PM. It’s one of two meetings between Manitoba and Saskatchewan with the rematch set for Friday October 16th at Griffiths Stadium.
The one and only 2026 meeting between the Calgary Dinos and Saskatchewan is slated for Friday, September 11th at 7:00 PM at Griffiths Stadium. Last year’s home opener (Homecoming Game) against UBC drew close to 10,000 fans at the USask campus. “We really look forward to all our home games, especially homecoming”, said Huskie head coach Scott Flory. “We have such an amazing fan base of support, it’s a big boost for our team.”
Saskatchewan then plays back-to-back road games to round out the September portion of the schedule. The Huskies visit the Alberta Golden Bears on Saturday, September 19th at 6:30 PM. The team will then make the short trip to Regina for a Saturday, September 26th game against the Rams at 2:00 PM at Mosaic Stadium. USask and the U of R, who met in the 2025 Hardy Cup, clash just once in the 2026 regular season.
