Huskie – Saskatoon Minor Football feature

Each week we highlight a Huskie player who grew up playing within the Saskatoon Minor Football program. 

USask receiver Dawson Lennea is in his fourth year of eligibility with the team and this season has moved to inside receiver.  Lennea has over 100 yards in receiving three weeks into the Canada West football campaign and scored his first touchdown of 2026 in Saskatchewan’s 65-12 win over Alberta on September 18th.

Lennea, who wears #3 for the Huskies, credits his coach at Bishop Mahoney, Donnie Davidsen, and mentors such as Dave Rogers at the SMF Academy for preparing him for his career at USask.
